Joe W. Boyd born and raised in Texas, loves history and fully enjoys trivia. Joe says that trivia is the fun side of history, full of fascinating things that usually get overlooked. Often the most interesting and surprising part of history is the little unknown stories behind the main story that often get left out of the story. He believes that if history teachers were to add a little trivia in the classroom, more students would become even more interested in history. When people hear a good trivia fact, they always have an uplifting surprised reaction, and find themselves pulled in deeper into the topic saying the four words that you will usually always hear “I didn’t know that”.

Each topic is a short story written in the form of a letter with interesting facts about corporate pioneers, events in history, items that were invented by accident, how holidays throughout the calendar year got their start, and more. “Letters from Mr. JB Fact Finder” started as an e-mail sent out once a week. The request to be added to the e-mail list kept growing, and the list of stories grew to become a book that would later become a finalist at the 2020 IAN book competition. These are the stories behind the story that you don’t always hear and you will be sharing with your friends. Letters from Mr. J B Fact Finder is not your usual trivia book. It takes you into the moment and makes you stop and think.
